Car Update

My car is fixed! Yippie!! Apparently the motor that runs my fan had burned out. Once my awesome new mechanic switched it out, all the other symptoms cleared up on their own. I guess they were secondary symptoms based on the initial problem. My car no longer overheats, the motor runs a lot smoother, and my A/C doesn't go out at stop lights! (^ ^) For good measure, I plan to bring my car back next month for a routine tune up. After that I should be good to go. San Jose, Los Angeles, Madera, San Francisco, Monterey, Modesto (work, duh), Redding here I come!

Taiko Update

Last night I signed up for the San Jose Taiko workshop. So now it's official. Game on. I'm so excited!!! After I signed up, I had to fill out an information form. This was an actual question:

List any experience or training, and the number of years studied in performing arts (dance, music, acting), theatre production (set design, sound, lighting), or martial arts.

Heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh haah!

1. ballet training- 12 yrs
2. modern dance training- 4 yrs
3. played flute (can read music)- 10 yrs
4. played oboe- 2 yrs
5. played drums- 1yr
6. In 7th grade PE, did a unit on Karate (yeah, I know, really reaching)

This is going to be so much fun!!!!!

We had our butts handed to us on a gold platter. First game of the season and on home soil to boot. We haven't had a shutout at a home game since October 4, 1981. That was 25 years ago!

And what was up with Randy Moss' hair? It took up the whole TV screen!

Oh well, shake it off. We'll do better next game. Like they say:

True Lies

AKA Missing In Action

Where have I been? Last Saturday I was abducted by terrorists from my Aunt Vera's surprise birthday party and transported to San Diego in the trunk of a Nissan Altima with bad shifting. The only way I was able to stay alive was to pretend I was an oncologist and participate in a cancer conference until I was rescued by Jack Bauer. Unfortunately he couldn't bring me all the way back to The No due to another emergency, so he dropped me off with a really nice lady in Agresstic named Lacy LaPlante. I think she was from Canada. Eventually I made it back to the SJV by hitching a ride with some really cute firefighters who were on their way to a fire in the grapevine. I spent my entire Friday explaining to my boyfriend Gregory House, MD, where I've been and who the heck Jack Bauer was. I told him to chill and take a Vicodin. Sheesh, boyfriends can be so jealous sometimes.

Anyways, I'm home now and I'll explain all the details and post pictures soon.
